Our New Native Plant Garden
Many native perennial flowers, shrubs, and a beautiful pinon pine were donated by Xeriscape Design . They taught and helped the fourth graders do all the planting.
Our new sprinklers will help the plants survive the summer.

Wildflowers, Grasses, Shrubs
Our native plant seeds actually grew! The fourth graders
learned from our Salt Lake county Utah State University extension
horticulturist and Master Gardeners about plant transpiration and native plant adaptations. We grew blue flax, yucca, great basin rye grass, blue grama grass, apache plume, and rocky mountain penstemon.
Visit the garden seasonally to see the different flowers in bloom. If you are interested in helping with the garden, please send email to gardener@herbnbloom.com. |
